Maintenance Training
Where Are You Now?
The first phase of the GPM PRO process involves determining
the current state of your workforce:
- Do you have under-skilled labor?
- Is your current workforce changing, downsizing, retiring, or aging?
- Do you have apprentice training requirements?
- Do you have new equipment?
GP works with you to determine the answers to these and other questions by conducting
a thorough workforce assessment. During this process we’ll assess your workforce,
conduct a job and task analysis, develop a gap analysis, put together a preliminary
training plan, and submit cost estimates and program schedules. Once we have a good
picture of your unique challenges, we can find out where you
need to go.
Address cultural sensitivities with an experienced provider.
GP understands that different job cultures require varying degrees of sensitivity
when it comes to determining skill levels. Our hands-on approach, in conjunction
with written knowledge evaluations, can often be a positive way to:
- Screen potential new hires or transferees to your maintenance workforce.
- Determine what training is needed when conducting a gap analysis.
- Assist when determining when it’s time for advancement, pay-for-skills or
certification testing.
